Jason A Orien, MD was born and raised in beautiful Anchorage, Alaska. He is an avid skier on both snow and water and believes that the water skiing season doesn’t end until the lake is frozen – which means it’s time to hit the slopes.
Jason earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He met his wife while in college and now they have three wonderful children. Following his undergraduate studies, Jason went on to obtain his medical degree at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Iowa.
Discovering that the Midwest is an excellent venue for medical training, Dr. Orien chose next to move to Columbus, Ohio to join the outstanding Urology Residency program at Ohio State University Medical Center. Ohio State is among the top 5 largest universities in the US and boasts the 3rd largest cancer hospital in the US, thus creating a premier training environment for Dr. Orien.
Dr. Orien and his family are happy to now call Pocatello their home, where extended family and nature’s playground are all nearby.
“We live in an exciting era of personalized precision medicine and I strongly believe that patients deserve and should expect a high standard of care from their physicians and surgeons. It is my vision to provide this type of urologic care for the people of Southeast Idaho using well-studied principles and techniques.”
