About Aniruddha Patki, MD

Aniruddha Patki, MD specializes in otology and neurotology, subspecialties of otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat). His path to a career in medicine started in college with an opportunity to teach people in Tanzania about HIV and AIDS. He found teaching about disease, prevention and treatment to be rewarding and knew he wanted to build a career around educating patients.

In medical school, Dr. Patki had the privilege of interacting with children who had received a cochlear implant and were able to hear after being born deaf or with profound hearing loss. He decided to pursue a residency in otolaryngology because that was the pathway to doing cochlear implant surgery and treating hearing loss.

Dr. Patki was born in India, grew up in Arizona, and has lived in Missouri, North Carolina, California, Texas and Colorado before coming to Pocatello, Idaho. He traveled extensively in college, visiting countries across Europe and Southeast Asia. He enjoys meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and trying new foods.

When he isn’t practicing medicine, Dr. Patki enjoys stargazing and astrophotography, going to the gym and spending time with his children.
