Pocatello Free Clinic Relocating to City Center Campus in 2019

Pocatello Free Clinic relocating to City Center Campus in 2019

Pocatello, Idaho, (January 30, 2019) – The Pocatello Free Clinic (PFC) is excited to announce that in the Spring of 2019 they will be relocating to Portneuf Health Trust’s new facility the City Center Campus located at 1001 N. 7th Ave, Pocatello. The City Center Campus was purchased by Portneuf Health Trust in November 2018.  A critical goal of this acquisition was to provide one location to care for vulnerable residents with little or no access to health care.  The regions new Southeast Idaho Behavioral Crisis Center will be co-located with PFC allowing behavioral health services to be integrated with the medical services offered by PFC. These organizations working together in one location will offer a greater range of services than neither organization could offer alone. The location is one of the many positive benefits, but there are many other including public transportation located right across the street. Renovation of the facility has already begun and is anticipated to be finished by this spring. Both clinics will be on the north facing side of the building with an entrance for each. By placing these health organizations together, it is expected that a new type of integration of care will happen that has yet to exist. Portneuf Medical Center has committed to sponsoring a mid-level provider who will work with both entities. The PFC has been operating out of a building owned by the city since April 1, 1971. While the building has served the community well, the space is unbefitting as the clinic continues to grow. The PFC will have more space, which translates to more care for patients in a welcoming environment. In addition to space, the partnership allows patients at both clinics to have access to services that were not offered in the past. The board of directors and the staff at PFC are thankful for the support from Portneuf Health Trust and Portneuf Medical Center. Representatives from both Portneuf Health Trust and Pocatello Free Clinic will be available at the new City Center Campus, 1001 N. 7th Ave, Pocatello for pictures and interviews from 11:00am-1:00pm on Monday, January 30, 2019. ### Portneuf Health Trust’s mission is to enhance and improve the health of southeastern Idaho and surrounding areas.
