Roberta Turner, FNP-BC specializes in family medicine at Portneuf Medical Group. She has experience in women’s health, correctional healthcare, nephrology/dialysis care in addition to family practice.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Idaho State University in 1978. She worked in several areas before finding a calling to dialysis nursing, which she did for 15 years. In 1999 she received her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Idaho State University. She has worked in a variety of community health care clinics in Southeast Idaho, in addition to the Pocatello Women’s Correctional Center. For 8 years she also worked at the DaVita Dialysis Unit in Pocatello as a nurse practitioner.
She always wanted to be a nurse, from the time she was young. She cannot imagine doing anything else in her life. She enjoys talking with her patients and helping them to improve their health.
She has recently become more interested in a whole foods plant based approach to healthcare, and is looking forward to helping patients incorporate healthier diet and lifestyle changes into their lives.
Roberta’s personal interests include music, traveling, gardening and reading. She is a member of the Camerata Singers in Pocatello, Idaho, and has traveled to several countries with the group to perform.
