Jorge de Amorim Filho, MD is a board certified general and trauma surgeon. He attended the University of Utah where he earned his bachelor’s degree in biology (with a minor in chemistry) He completed medical school and residency at the University of Utah.
Dr. Amorim was drawn to general surgery because there is a broad variety to help people and see the near-instant impact on their lives. Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Dr. Amorim would help his father, a vascular surgeon, at the hospital and saw early in life that he wanted to grow up to be a surgeon so he could help people improve their lives. Dr. Amorim loves swimming, cycling, competing in Ironman competitions and spending time with his family. Jorge's wife, Alli is a pediatrician praticing at the Pocatello Children and Adolescent Clinic.
