Ownership and Leadership
Since 2009, Portneuf Medical Center has been owned and operated by a joint venture which includes Ardent Health Services, certain physician members of the medical staff, and the Portneuf Health Trust. Portneuf Medical Center is proud to have physician owners who are active on the medical staff of the hospital, and who provide invaluable physician leadership to the hospital’s governing board and administrators. In the November, 2008 general election, 78 percent of Bannock County's voters approved placing the assets of Portneuf Medical Center into the joint venture. Pursuant to the agreements, Portneuf Health Trust, formerly known as the Portneuf Health Care Foundation, Inc. owns a minority share of the new joint venture, but governance of Portneuf Medical Center is on a 50-50, “block voting” basis.
Joint Venture Board of Directors
Portneuf Medical Center is owned and operated by a joint venture which includes Ardent Health Services, certain physician members of the medical staff, and the Portneuf Health Trust. The Joint Venture Board of Directors governs all of the assets of Portneuf Medical Center.
Portneuf Health Trust Board of Directors
Portneuf Health Care Foundation was incorporated in Idaho in 2002 as an organization with the purpose of supporting and improving health care at Portneuf Medical Center. In Since 2009, Portneuf Medical Center has been owned and operated by a joint venture which includes Ardent Health Services, certain physician members of the medical staff, and the Portneuf Health Trust.
Portneuf Health Trust, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

The Board of Trustees of Portneuf Medical Center is charged with overseeing quality and clinical care.
Physician Roundtable
The physician roundtable provides a forum in which physicians can share ideas, discuss ways to improve patient care, and work on input for the hospital's strategic business plan.
