Katie Dorsett, MD is a board-certified neurologist. Because her mom is a nurse, Katie was exposed to the medical field growing up and was inspired to choose a career in medicine. She realized how much she loves learning while a college student, so she decided on medical school to gain as much knowledge as possible.

Katie’s real interest in neuroscience was inspired in clinical rotation. She appreciated how neurologists are mystery solvers, using detailed history taking and specialized examination techniques to localize where an issue could be in the nervous system. She continues to find neurology utterly fascinating and endlessly complex. In her practice, Katie prioritizes taking the time to understand the issue and being honest with patients. She ensures any treatment plans are formed around a patient’s individual goals.

After attending college in the mountain west, Katie wanted to return to this region due to its natural beauty and kind, generous people. Her hobbies include watching true crime documentaries, flower pressing, hiking, amateur birding, cooking and spending time with family and fur babies.
