About Harriet Barratt

Harriet chose trauma surgery because of its dynamic, challenging nature. She values the ability to work in complex and urgent situations, and the opportunity to care for patients during some of the most critical moments of their lives. She earned a dual degree in neuroscience and studio art from Tulane University, followed by research in stroke recovery at the UCLA Department of Neurology. She attended medical school at Texas Tech University and completed her general surgery residency at Banner University. She completed her fellowship training in Trauma and Critical Care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys painting, staying active through fitness and yoga, and spending time outdoors with my dog.
