Vaccines

Prevention is Our Goal

Our physician is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases, including those caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites. We collaborate with your primary care physician to ensure comprehensive care.

A number of infectious diseases, such as chickenpox and measles, can be prevented by vaccines. Some infectious diseases can be passed from person to person; frequent and thorough hand-washing can help prevent the spread. Other infectious diseases are transmitted by bites from insects or animals, and others are acquired by ingesting contaminated food or water or being exposed to organisms in the environment.
