Local Heart Experts to Speak on the Importance of Heart Health

Our expert speakers, Warren Willey, DO; Benjamin Call, MD; and Jacob DeLaRosa, MD will provide valuable insights and practical advice to help you take charge of your heart health. Whether you're looking to improve your own cardiovascular wellness or support a loved one on their journey, this seminar is for you! Join us Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 12 p.m. at Portneuf Medical Center in the Pebble Creek Conference Room. Lunch will be provided.

Portneuf Medical Center Donates $25,000 to Boys and Girls Club

Portneuf Medical Center is proud of their commitment of $25,000 over the next five years to support the local Boys and Girls Club in its mission to provide essential programs and services to the youth of our community.

These funds will help to expand and grow the reach of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Idaho by supporting their second site located at Indian Hills Elementary School. The BGCSEI continues to operate a site at Syringa Elementary School as well. These Clubs are serving up to 100 kids each day.

Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute brings State-of-the-Art Imaging to Heart Care

The Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute at Portneuf Medical Center recently added the new Siemens Healthineers ARTIS icono biplane system to its interventional imaging services.

Portneuf is hosting the Grand Opening celebration on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 5-7pm.  Community members are invited to tour the new Cath Lab at Portneuf Medical Center. Please join us at the main entrance by the piano where you will be directed to the 1st floor information desk where there will be tours, hors d’oeuvres and drinks.

Portneuf Heart & Vascular Institute invites the community to a grand opening event for the new state-of-the-art heart procedure room on Thursday, February 1. This event will take place in the foyer at the main entrance of Portneuf Medical Center from 5-7 p.m. and hors d’ouerves and refreshments will be served. 

Baby boy is first baby born at Portneuf Medical Center in 2024

Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is pleased to announce Ethan Lewis Sutton as the 2024 New Year’s baby.

The son of Cierra and Cameron Sutton of Pocatello made his entrance into the world a several weeks early at 12:55 a.m. on January 1, 2024. Ethan arrived weighing four pounds and is 17 inches long.

“We came in on New Year’s Eve and were hoping to hold off labor a few more weeks until we were closer to his due date,” said Cierra. “I didn’t even realize that it had become New Year’s Day. The nurses mentioned that he might be the New Year’s baby and I was surprised.”

Portneuf Medical Center earns an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group

Portneuf Medical Center earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog that sets standards for excellence in patient care. Leapfrog assigns an “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” grade to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 national performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent harm.

Portneuf Medical Center’s Diabetes Education Clinic recognized for 25 years of accreditation from the American Diabetes Association

The American Diabetes Association (ADA), the nation’s leading organization committed to fighting diabetes, announced the recognition of Portneuf Medical Center’s Diabetes Education and Nutrition Services Clinic for its 25th consecutive year of accreditation.

Portneuf Health to open new clinic at Northgate

Portneuf Health today announced the opening of a new urgent care clinic at the Portneuf Medical Plaza in Northgate. Located at 2850 Olympus Drive, Portneuf Health Now will provide walk-in care and treatments for non-emergent care needs, including respiratory illness symptoms and minor injuries. The clinic will operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on weekends until 6 p.m., beginning Thursday, Sept. 14.
