Ashley McNamara, PA-C is a certified and licensed physician assistant. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology at the University of Florida and received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Alabama.
Ashley realized at a young age that she was interested in medicine, specifically cardiovascular surgery. At 14 years old she was able to witness her first open heart surgery. Since then, she knew she wanted to be a part of a cardiac operative team. After spending time rehabbing post-operative cardiac patients, she began pursuing her career as a surgical PA. Getting the opportunity to see patients walk out the door in better health than when they walked in gives her a passion for what she does.
Ashley is originally a Floridian but quickly took opportunities to explore the Rocky Mountains whenever she could. In fact, Ashley’s sense of adventure has taken her to extraordinary destinations. These include a honeymoon in the backcountry of Iceland, camping in the Amazon, and a helicopter rescue out of Rocky Mountain National Park
She and her family love spending time outdoors; skiing, hiking, camping and biking. After spending about 6 years in the Denver area, Idaho was a very easy transition and an obvious choice for relocation. Ashley and her husband are excited to raise their two boys in the beautiful SE Idaho area.
