Ignacio Morales-Carillo, MD is board certified in internal medicine. He graduated from Lewis and Clark State College, completed medical school at the University of Washington and finished his residency training at the University of California, Davis.

The reward, challenge and the opportunity to continue to learn everyday makes the practice of medicine enjoyable. He was drawn to hospitalist medicine, in part, because it allows him to see a variety of complex patients. He enjoys taking care of all ages and stages and being in the hospital with patients and families is important.

Ignacio’s path to medicine was different than most. He grew up in rural Mexico, where he worked as a cattle and goat herder. Eventually, his family became part of the Idaho community. In fact, he always knew he would practice medicine in the state that gave his family so many opportunities. When Ignacio is not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with family, being outside, grilling and traveling.

My stubborn father went into the emergency department and ended up in light intensive care for a week. His ex rays were saying One thing while the surgeon said another. The entire team was extremely supportive and understanding through the conundrum that is my father . Dr Moralles is an amazingly caring man , listened to our concerns and is 100% the most intensely sympathetic doc I’ve ever met. He treated us with kindness and compassion almost to an uncomfortable level we have never experienced before. Thank you for everything and saving my dad.
