This series is a program developed to help individuals reduce their risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes.
The PREvent program is:
- A series of 4 one-hour classes taught by Registered Dietitians
- 2 post-program support group meetings
- What is Pre-diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes
- Nutrition strategies to improve overall health, blood sugar, and heart health
- Practical tools for meal planning
- Tips for addressing weight concerns
- Physical activity guidance
- Goal setting and behavior change
- If you register for the Monday track, from 4:30 -5:30 PM, those dates are: September 21st , September 28th, October 5th, and October 12th. You are required to attend all 4 classes.
- If you register for the Tuesday track, from 9:00 - 10:00 AM, those dates are: September 22nd, September 29th, October 6th, and October 13th. You are required to attend all 4 classes.
