What’s Age Got To Do With It?

The need for physical intimacy doesn’t just go away as we age. In fact, there are some surprising health benefits to a strong relationship. Intimacy can help ease stress, keep the immune system humming, improve heart health, increase bladder control and, perhaps lesson pain. While some women may find their desire plummets, others have no noticeable changes. It is important for women to know that there are common issues that often come with menopause that can make things uncomfortable and other changes that may just cause us to be less confident. Whether desire goes up or down or stays the same, a little bit of knowledge and a few tools to enable you to talk about the issue and seek meaningful solutions can help us through the transition. If you or a loved one would like more information about menopause, effects of estrogen loss, and how to communicate with your partner, please join us for a special seminar in the Red Hot Mamas® lecture series titled “Sex and Menopause: What’s Age Got To Do With It?” The Red Hot Mamas® organization is a leading provider of information and support programs to women to help optimize their health at menopause and beyond. This seminar will be held in the Pebble Creek Conference Room at the Portneuf Medical Center on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Doors open at 6:00 pm; the presentation begins at 6:30 pm. Light refreshments will be served. To reserve a seat, visit www.portneuf.org/event/rhm or call 208-239-2033.
