Speech and Hearing Month: Free Screenings on May 12th

free speech and hearing test during May 2017Pocatello, ID —Hearing loss currently affects more than 36 million Americans today. Although hearing problems are commonly associated with the normal aging process, more than half of all hearing-impaired persons are younger than 65. With the increased use of personal music players (MP3s) and earbuds, the number of Americans experiencing hearing loss at a younger age is growing. In an effort to raise public awareness for the growing number of Americans suffering from hearing loss and speech and language issues, Portneuf Ear, Nose, and Throat in conjunction with Portneuf Speech Therapy are celebrating Better Hearing and Speech Month during the month of May. As part of Better Hearing and Speech Month, we encourage consumers to be more aware of their hearing and speech health. To serve our community, we are offering free speech, language and hearing screenings on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 8am – 1pm in the Bannock Creek Conference Room at Portneuf Medical Center. On this Friday, walk-ins are welcome. For more information, contact Portneuf Therapy Center (208) 239-1490 or Portneuf ENT 208-239-1960.
